FuturePlus Financial Services Pty Ltd comply with the National Privacy Principles which apply from 21 December 2001.
In order to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act, we are required to advise you that we may at some time hold personal information about you. The information collected by us for the purpose of providing you with financial services includes:
- the preparation of your financial plan;
- the provision of financial planning advice to you;
- making investment recommendations; and
- reviewing your financial plan.
We are required, pursuant to the Corporations Act, certain regulations issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Financial Planning Association (of which FuturePlus is a member), to collect information about you for the purpose of providing you with the services referred to above. If you do not provide us with the information requested by us, we may not be able to provide you with the services you require of us.
We will from time to time disclose information about you to authorised representatives of this firm, to other professionals (fund managers) and superannuation trustees in connection with the purposes detailed above. In the event we consider it necessary to use or disclose information about you for the purposes other than those detailed above, or related purposes, we will seek your consent.
You have the right to access all material, with very limited exceptions, held about you by FuturePlus. In relation to any privacy issue including access, copies of the Privacy policy and general enquiries, you may contact the Privacy Officer on (02) 8234 6000 or alternatively write to FuturePlus Financial Services, PO Box N180, Grosvenor Place NSW 1220.
If you have a formal complaint about the way FuturePlus handles your personal information and you are not satisfied with the response from the Privacy Officer, you may contact the Complaints Resolution Officer at the above address.
Should you not be satisfied with the response from the Complaints Resolution Officer, you may take your complaint to the Commonwealth Privacy Commissioner, GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 1042 or 1300 363 992.
