Richard Powis
Chief Executive Officer

Mr Powis resigned in December 2007 as Chief Executive Officer of Integral Energy, one of three NSW state owned energy corporations, to take up the position of CEO at FuturePlus in February 2008, where he leads one of Australia's largest superannuation service providers. Before his tenure at Integral, he worked at TransGrid where he became a central figure in the development of the National Electricity Market which included the connection of the Queensland and NSW markets.
He has worked in the electricity supply industry for over 15 years and has a strong track record in business management and strategic development across a number of industries. He is noted for his financial expertise and extensive leadership experience as well as the establishment of a high service culture. At FuturePlus, he is the custodian of the superannuation assets of thousands of workers in Local Government and the Energy industry and has the responsibility of guiding the organisation to greater growth for members.
Richard was a board member of the Energy Industries Superannuation Scheme and past chairman and director of the Energy Networks Association, as well as director of the Energy Supply Association of Australia.
Madeline Dermatossian
General Counsel & Company Secretary
Over the past 20 years Madeline has been involved in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining FuturePlus, Madeline held corporate legal positions at Perpetual, BT Financial Group and ABN Amro Bank.
Madeline holds the position of General Counsel & Company Secretary for FuturePlus. Her role encompasses the provision of legal, compliance and secretariat support to the Group. Madeline is also Company Secretary of Chifley Financial Services Pty Ltd.
Madeline holds a Diploma in Law, member of the Law Society of NSW and the Australian Compliance Institute, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Secretaries of Australia.
Bob Biancardi
Chief Financial Officer
Bob has extensive financial management experience in the financial services industry. In his current role he is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for two industry superannuation funds, a public offer superannuation fund, three Unit Trusts, the associated Trustee companies, and four operating corporate entities. Prior to joining the company, Bob was the Financial Controller of the Ord Minnett Group. He has also worked for Westpac Banking Corporation as Financial Controller of its Australian Retail Banking Group.
Bob holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Brad Storey
Acting Chief Investment Officer
Brad has over 20 years experience within the financial markets and investment industry and has managed, traded and brokered fixed income securities and associated derivatives for Westpac Banking Corporation and Ord Minnett and held managerial roles within leading broking firms Tullett and Tokyo and ICap.
Since joining the FuturePlus group in 2004 Brad has held the positions of Product Manager of the Chifley Investment Fund and Investment Analyst within the groups Funds Management division.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Business Degree.
Jim Thomas
General Manager, Client Services
Jim has over 25 years in the financial services industry, and has held management positions in the Commonwealth Bank and National Mutual. Jim held senior positions at Chifley Financial Services prior to the company being acquired by the Local Government Superannuation Scheme and the Energy Industries Superannuation Scheme.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and is a member of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia and the Fund Executives Association.
